The Mumming Unconvention over the weekend of 19th November has been hailed a success by the organisers. More than 14 mumming sides/teams/gangs arrived and spent the weekend performing a wide range of plays in the centre of Bath. Puzzled onlookers all stood aside and watched the long parade of colourful mummers and performers walk through the streets and gathered around each team as they went through their stuff.
The Potterne Christmas Boys gave a really good account of themselves even prompting one person to say "now - there are some proper mummers" A great day was had by all.
